NEPAL - A
land of amazing extremes
Draped with the greatest heights of the Himalaya, the kingdom of
Nepal is a land of eternal fascination, a place where one visit is
hardly enough. It is a land of ancient history, timeless cultures,
majestic mountains, beautiful people, superb scenery and perhaps
one of the best walkings on earth.
KATHMANDU VALLEY
The Kathmandu Valley is the political and cultural hub of Nepal
with the three ancient cities – Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur.
There is a rich wealth of art, culture and nature waiting to be
explored. Inside the Valley some of the famous places to visit are
Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa,
Pashupatinath Temple, Changu Narayan Temple, Dakshinkali, Temples
and Palace Courtyards in Bhaktapur and Patan, and many other
historical heritage sites. Some of the nearby towns such as Thimi,
Bungamati, Sankhu still offers rare sights of true Nepali
lifestyle. We offers sightseeing tours that will cover all these
fascinating places.
POKHARA VALLEY
Pokhara is a place of remarkable natural beauty situated on the
lap of Annapurna mountains. The village and small town dotting the
rolling landscape provides charming glimpses of rural life in
Nepal. Majestic mountain peaks, crystal clear lakes, turbulent
rivers with deep gorges and picturesque villages inhabited by
simple and friendly ethnic people are the main attractions of this
city. Pokhara is also the starting point for many of Nepal’s most
popular treks and rafting trips.
LUMBINI
Lumbini is the birth place of Lord Buddha. The main attraction
here is the sacred garden and the Mayadevi’s Temple. Here you will
find the oldest monument of Nepal, the Ashoka Pillar. Lumbini can
be reached by road as well as by air. Ten hours from Kathmandu by
road, 45 minutes by air and another one hour on the road.
OTHER
ATTRACTIONS
Mountain views: The wonderful Annapurna panorama forms a
superb backdrop to Pokhara. You can see the mountains from almost
all the places in Pokhara.
Lake Views: Pokhara is one of the famous places with lakes
in Nepal. A boating trip in the lakes provides unbelievable
pleasure with excellent mountain views.
Seti Gandaki: Pokhara’s natural wonder that unfailingly
interest visitors, is the Seti Gandaki River. Amazingly at certain
points the river appears hardly two meters wide, but its depth is
quite beyond imagination over 5o meters, providing a perfect view
of the river dreadful rush and the deep gorges made by its
current.
Devi’s Falls: Locally known as Patale Chango (Hell’s Fall)
is a lovely waterfall lying south-west of the Pokhara Airport on
the Siddhartha Highway. Here, the water mysteriously disappears
down into an underground passage beneath the fall.
Mahendra Cave:
It is another natural site across the Seti River in the north of
Pokhara Valley. It is one of the few stalagmite-stalactite caves
found in Nepal. The cave has not yet been fully explored and it
may have concealed much more than just a dark gallery.
Other Places: There are so many beautiful places to visit
in Pokhara. Temples, Monasteries, Tibetan Village, Sarangkot
viewing tower, Kabu Danda, Panchase Danda, Nagdanda, old bazaar,
etc are some of the highlights of this city.
Some of our popular treks start from Pokhara. We offer treks
ranging from 5 days to 18 days long. Please find our trek programs
on the following flaps.
